Just In Time For Valentine's Day: The Most Romantic...

Weddings and Valentine's Day have a lot in common. They are both meant to be celebrations of love and romance. Our rustic wedding venue near Knoxville sees more than our fair share of both of those things on a regular basis. In honor of the upcoming lover's holiday, we've gathered a list of some of the most romantic things that you can include in your Country Jewell wedding

Music
There are many places in a wedding to incorporate a beautiful song. Picking the perfect one for your first dance will depend on your own personal style, but here are a few, in no particular order, that have stood the test of time.

"At Last"
Etta James

"Falling In Love With You"
Elvis Presley

"Everything"
Michael Buble

"You Are So Beautiful"
Joe Cocker

"L-O-V-E"
Nat King Cole

"The Way You Look Tonight"
Frank Sinatra

"From This Moment"
Shania Twain

"Could I Have This Dance"
Anne Murray

"Bless The Broken Road"
Rascal Flatts

Love Quotes
Some people have a wonderful way with words. If you have a hard time saying exactly how you feel in an eloquent way, these romantic quotes just may inspire the poet in you.

"The best and most beautiful things in this world cannot be seen or even heard, but must be felt with the heart." -Helen Keller

"You come to love not by finding the perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly."  -Sam Keen

"To love and be loved is to feel the sun from both sides."  -David Viscott

"I love you, not only for what you are, but for what I am when I am with you."  -Elizabeth Barrett Browning

"You know you’re in love when you don’t want to fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams."  -Dr. Seuss

"When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible."  -Nora Ephron

"The best thing to hold onto in life is each other."  -Audrey Hepburn

"True love stories never have endings."  -Richard Bach

Traditions

  • Write Love Letters
A beautiful thing to do for your soon-to-be spouse is to write them a love letter, and then have it hand-delivered to them while they are getting ready for the ceremony. This is a wonderful way to remind them why you want to be married to them, and it's sure to get them extra-excited about walking down the aisle to say "I do!"

  • Toast Your Love
This tradition that you can begin at your wedding and carry on throughout your married life involves both the spoken and the written word. Pick out special toasting glasses to use at your wedding reception for the toasts you will be both giving and receiving. After the wedding, tuck those glasses safely away, along with a bottle of wine and love letters from each of you to be opened on your first anniversary. Toast a wonderful year together, read the loving memories in your letters, then replace everything so that you can do it all over again next year.
  • Renew Your Vows
The most important part about getting married are the vows that you promise to each other. Over time, the busyness of life can get in the way and make you forget how important some of those words really are. Renewing your wedding vows is a wonderful way to remind each other of those promises. It doesn't have to be a big ceremony (although those can be fun for the big anniversaries!) Simply looking into each other's eyes and saying them again can be incredibly romantic and special.

Hopefully, the items above have gotten you into the Valentine's Day spirit, and maybe even inspired a few romantic wedding planning ideas for you. If you happen to become engaged in the next few days, or if you already are, Country Jewell knows the charming and scenic place for you to get married! Give us a call and we'll help to make all of your wedding dreams come true.
