Don't make a post on social media to the general public before you've had a chance to share this special news with your family and closest friends. Once that's set, you can move on to other wedding planning tasks, like deciding on a budget and picking your wedding party.
Schedule Engagement Photos
The earlier you can get these done, the better. That way you will have lots of gorgeous photos of the two of you to use for things like announcements or save-the-date cards. It's best if you find the photographer that you want to shoot your wedding first because many of them will offer engagement photos as a part of your wedding package.
